White pick up truck, MWRC decals in the back cab windows. Also I believe I then saw the same truck coming back today as I was driving through Shawno. Looked to be working a yellow lab in Shawno Lake this afternoon as we drove by?

Hi guys - yeah that would be us ... Pete was perch fishing up in Oconto yesterday with his brother from IL and I was in Dubuque at a Dock Dog event and I actually met him and Deke (he probably just looked 'yellow' in the water - he's a deadgrass color) at the lake to cool both dogs off. He was just commenting how the 'hand-held' launcher is kinda messing with Deke alittle since Deke's use to looking out for the wingers !. Had a great weekend, hope trainging went well for those who got to go. (Since Gauge and I are invited back again this year to Dock Dog World Championships in Hayward, field work is alittle on the back burner for us right now, but he's actually getting 'worked' twice a day to keep him in condition !

Just wondering as when my buddy and I landed the boat there, I could not help but notice the MWRC decals in the back window. We were walleye fishing. I will post photos later. Perch are bait. Wink

Also in defense of your dog I didn't see him. My buddy just made a comment on a dog as we were driving by the Shawno lake. He said it was a yellow lab. I wheeled my eyes off the road quickly, never saw the dog, only a glimpse of the parked white truck with the same MWRC decal, before I had to turn my eyes back ahead to concentrate on the road and on coming traffic again. Angry

We caught those walleyes dragging planer boards with bottom bouncers trailing a crawler harness & spinner combo.

I didn't expect to catch you Kevin with that little piece of bait about the perch. Grin

Never know what you will catch until you bait up and lay a line. Wink

Reply #7 - 06/11/07 at 9:15pm Very nice eyes - we had a Walleye fry the night before (but I will say your Walleyes were alittle bit meatier ) so that's why they went out for perch, and it sounded like there was just the right Walleye chop on the bay Saturday It was either perch fishing or out to Lake Michigan for Salmon (that will be this weekend for sure)
